Next Generation Wood Stove Design Challenge is a national competition that seeks to promote creative thinking and engineering that would lead to low emission, high efficiency and affordable wood stoves. The winner will receive $25,000 cash prize. The best designs will also be featured in an issue of Popular Mechanics magazine.
This challenge is an exciting opportunity to develop and practice engineering skills; it is also a great resume bullet. To provide further motivation, the Fire Protection Engineering Department will offer ENFP429 (Independent Studies) or ENFP629 (Selected Topics) credits to interested participants. The team assembly meeting will be held on September 7(Friday) at 1:30-2:30 PM at the FPE conference room (3106B) located on the 3rd floor of J.M. Patterson Bldg.
