On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. This program is open to all rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. The focus of this workshop will be on successful test-taking skills and reasoning strategies to help maximize scores on the SAT. Topics will be presented relevant to the math, verbal and new writing sections of the test. The program provides 40+ hours of instruction, a pre-test, post-test, as well as periodic evaluations.
