On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. UMD students are needed for one of two focus group sessions. This research study is investigating the acceptability of health behavior theory-developed Twitter messages aimed at increasing awareness of the human papillomavirus (HPV) and vaccinations against HPV.
To participate in this study, you must be:
· a native speaker of English,
· between the ages of 18 and 25,
· a college student enrolled at UMD, and
· aware of what Twitter is.
Participation in this study will involve a 40-minute session, scheduled at your convenience. Up to 15 students will be able to participate in each focus group session. All focus group participants will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $50 gift card (one $50 gift card per session). Pizza and refreshments will be provided.
