Maryland Fund for Excellence Student Philanthropy Summit
Tuesday, November 24, 2009, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. (Dinner will be served)
Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center, 4th Floor Conference Room

What is the Student Philanthropy Summit?

The Student Philanthropy Summit will provide an opportunity for students, staff and faculty to have an open dialogue about student philanthropy at the University of Maryland. As the Student Philanthropy Committee is in its early stages of forming, your thoughts on student philanthropy at Maryland are going to be crucial in pointing us in the right direction.

Why is the MFE reaching out?

As an active member of the Maryland community, mainly through participation (or guidance) in a UMD student group, you are on the front line and could provide first-hand knowledge on student philanthropy and student participation.

Can you invite others to join?

Yes, please do! Students, staff, faculty members, even young alumni (currently active in a student group or simply have something to contribute)—all are welcome. Please forward this email to anyone you think might be interested in joining us, especially if you are part of a student group on campus- forward to other group members.

We would like to hear from you.

RSVP as soon as possible or by Monday, November 23rd (however, you can still join us if you have not RSVP'd) to Angela Mudd by email at amudd@umd.edu or call her at 301.405.2050, or Sonia Huntley, Director of Emerging Constituent Philanthropy, by email at shuntley@umd.edu or by phone at 301.405.7821.

Still have questions? Contact Angela or Sonia.
