University of Maryland Hosts Debate Watch; Highlights Innovative Technologies
UMD will host unique Presidential Debate Watch Party including the roll-out of innovative technologies featuring a new platform for online polling and new electronic online voter registration for the University of Maryland campus.

The event is open to the first 500 University of Maryland students, faculty or staff who show up for the event. Pizza and drinks will be served.

Campaign Strategy Seminar on the 2012 Elections
This seminar will feature J. Toscano, a partner at GMMB, a DC-based Democratic political communications and strategy firm. Mr. Toscano will discuss the process involved in creating an effective media strategy for candidates, political parties, and advocacy groups.

Immigration and the Election of 2012 Forum
The Center for the History of the New America will host a forum on issues related to immigration and the upcoming election.
University of Maryland President Wallace Loh will speak about his experience as an immigrant student and about the DREAM Act. State Senator Victor Ramirez will address the DREAM Act and other issues.

Dean's Student Advisory Council Election Day Watch Party
This event will feature broadcasts of news stations as well as The Daily Show with John Stewart and The Colbert Report. Faculty will share expertise on various election-related topics and will be on hand to answer questions. The audience will also have the chance to take part in opinion polls and interactive trivia games with prizes.
